Libertador 200 is a building located on the new Av. Libertador urban corridor, positioned along the new mixed-use development axis: commercial, residential, offices, among others. It is situated adjacent to the Mitre Railway tracks and just metres from the intersection of Av. Libertador and Av. Gral. Paz.

The design concept proposes an urban volumetric completion exercise. The tower recomposes the existing urban profile, attaching to the lateral party wall to match its height. This achieves the most important block completion: the corner. The primary use will be offices, whereby the generous perimeter of natural light and the quality of the views provide a higher standard in work spaces, reimagined in the wake of the pandemic.

In formal terms, it is not merely a rectangular block but a volume that dematerializes into planes acting as sails towards the crown. The tower rests on the lateral party wall and three large columns, where the first level appears to hang, and the ground floor receives a far more permeable treatment than the tower above, marking the difference in uses on the façade.

Taking into account the floor plan configuration, the ground floor provides access to the circulation cores, three basement levels are designated for parking, and the typical floor proposes a free-plan organization. The result is a flexible layout that can accommodate different configurations according to the needs of the occupant.

What makes this building particularly distinctive is that its curtain wall façade generates a reflective effect of the building directly opposite — also a work by the same firm. This is especially compelling, as the interplay between both pieces implies that buildings are not conceived as isolated objects within the city, but rather that there is a constant reflection on the urban realm and on how to generate architectural pieces that form part of a greater whole.
