The project won the National First Prize, was built in six months, and serves its function of circulation while also making an urban contribution and creating recreational spaces, meeting places, and leisure areas, intended not to overwhelm the neighboring buildings and their inhabitants. With these premises, an attempt was made to design the fewest possible supports, avoiding rigid forms (columns or straight portals), which is why prestressed concrete techniques were used.

The parabolic form defining the roadway was best suited to the characteristics of the area, because besides suggesting a total continuity of the path, it makes the infrastructure appear as a unique element, where the parts interrelate naturally.

The project also had to address the challenges posed by the large underground conduit that channels the waters of the Maldonado Stream, whose axis coincides with that of Juan B. Justo Avenue. This fact imposed special conditions on the foundations of the support pillars, which were established on Franki-type piles.

A maximum gradient of 6% was adopted for the access ramps, to clear the crossing of the General San Martín Railway tracks with the appropriate height, to minimize the impact on cross streets, to meet the operational needs of traffic, and to give the whole an aesthetically pleasing appearance.
