The building is situated on a 1,700 sqm lot, occupying half a block, meaning it has three facades facing the Maritime Boulevard, Saavedra Street, and Aristóbulo del Valle Street. The building has a maximum height restriction of 17 floors above ground and 3 basements, and it houses the Costa Galana Hotel. It is also where one of Mar del Plata’s most prestigious beaches, Playa Grande, is located.
The project was developed as a compact, single-profile block with a podium, ground floor, and accommodations from the 3rd to the 15th floor. It is important to highlight the Maritime Boulevard in that sector of the city, which features a large semicircular cantilevered terrace that begins at Parque San Martín and ends in front of the Golf Club. This creates an expansive embayment, offering a magnificent perspective, with its visual benefits directed both toward and away from the structure.
The building features a central vertical circulation core with three main elevators, one for service, a freight elevator, an internal staircase, and two external staircases that terminate at the ends of the circulation paths on the typical floor.
The building’s services stand out, particularly those related to electrical systems. Each room includes everything from programmable magnetic card access to a console that controls the lights, television, air conditioning, curtains, phone calls, doorbell cancellation, or a light to indicate “do not disturb”.
