Equestrian competitions require a specific arena layout that excludes any circular or regular polygonal design; therefore, a rectangle was chosen as the basic shape for the construction of the indoor arena. A roof was proposed over the park area to cover the arena without creating an enclosed space; this objective was achieved through the convex shape of the ceiling, whose surface rises toward the sky as it moves away from the center of the arena, accentuating the desired sense of lightness and creating an interesting spatial sensation from the interior.

The activity takes place in a central arena measuring 40 x 80 meters, flanked by two grandstands with a capacity for 5,000 spectators, along with auxiliary facilities and boxes for judges and journalists at one end. Riders enter through three gates, and the public enters via staircases located beneath the grandstands.

The design and calculation of the metal structure were based on a study of resonance and natural vibrations, resulting in an extremely short natural period. This achievement is significant not only for protecting the structure from wind loads but also for mitigating the disruptive effects of aircraft from the nearby Buenos Aires City Airport.

The project has been designed to be extended to 100 meters in length and enclosed along its entire perimeter with glazed metal cladding.
