Within a major urban renewal along the Libertador Avenue axis — the north-south corridor connecting Buenos Aires with San Isidro — Carpe Diem rises, establishing itself as an urban landmark for the area.

The project is set on the site with a curved slab volume, prioritising views towards the Río de la Plata, the area’s primary attraction. The building’s scale and morphology generate a connection to the neighbourhood fabric through the opening created by the curve, while along Av. Libertador its frontage aligns with the urban space generated by the avenue in this stretch of La Lucila.

Maximum material simplicity was chosen, forming the volume with two concrete slabs, which ensures privacy in the private sectors. On the other hand, the glazed ends of the slab in the public sectors allow permeability, dematerialising the volume and optimising the relationship between interior and exterior.
