The building for American company WeWork is primarily used as office space, generating shared workspaces. The design concept rests on three interconnected pillars.

Firstly, the intention to merge the commercial and corporate worlds of the Libertador Avenue corridor, dedicating its frontage to a large commercial podium 80 metres long with a continuous façade.

Secondly, it addresses the relationship between the built volume and the resulting residual space. This massing emerges from the building’s progressive inclination as it rises across its more than 60 metres in height, yielding floor area at ground level to generate a setback, which makes it possible to create a dry plaza where the office entrance is positioned — proving beneficial both for the project and for the urban fabric.

Thirdly, the aim is for the building to embody the essence of its own surroundings, through a series of operations that together compose a proposal for the urban landscape. On one hand, a continuous mirrored curtain wall envelope reflects the day’s climatic conditions and the surrounding context. On the other hand, independent planes are stitched to the volume and displaced from it with the intention of breaking it apart. Finally, the entire volume is accompanied by continuous horizontal bands belonging to the curtain wall cladding the façades, generating visual vanishing lines.

The project, through its massing, materialisation and placement, creates a screen and orders the Libertador Avenue space as a corridor.
