The sea covers 70% of the planet’s surface. Its presence has exerted, since the beginning of time and upon every human being, a particular fascination — one that has been the driving force behind humanity’s expansion across the world.
Located at an inflection point between Playa Brava and La Barra, the 22-storey tower dominates the flat landscape through its verticality and presence, generated through incredible perspectives.
That fascination with the sea inspired us to ensure this tower would not be a mere object placed in the landscape, but rather a sculpture that poetically fuses architecture and its surroundings through the very essence that governs nature: the random, which simultaneously conceals a universal order discovered in the patterns of ocean waves, trees, leaves, and the entire universe through the golden ratio and the Fibonacci sequence.
From this idea, we designed a system of perimeter balconies that generate these “random” patterns, causing the building to produce a visual effect of movement through light and shadow — a living, dynamic sculpture that represents the sea and its surroundings in a constant homage to that phrase by the brilliant Albert Einstein: “God does not play dice”.
